Today we were invited up to Google Headquarters to get a very brief sneak preview of the Nexus 6 and 9.
While the two devices mark a bit of a departure from Google's past flagships, the strategy of the Nexus line is still the same: the devices were always Google's way of "showing the way forward" for Android OEMs. For this generation, though, the company has moved on from the lower-priced flagships and onto more "premium" devices.
Many users have reported issues with maintaining the battery life of their Nexus 6 phones. We here at GeekReply have a few tips and tricks to help you get the most out of your ailing battery.
Like the Nexus 6, the Nexus 9 LTE didn't receive Nougat when most other Google devices did; however, since the Nexus 9 LTE sold significantly fewer units than the Nexus 6, there wasn't much outcry. Not too long after that, Google told us that updates for both devices would be arriving "in the coming weeks." Two days ago, the Nexus 6 finally got the update to Android 7.0 Nougat, and now, the LTE-equipped Nexus 9 is also receiving it.
After a few days of data connectivity hell for some Nexus 6 owners, it seems that Google corrected the issue on the back end.
Both devices are just awesome.
I wanted the N6 to be something just awesome but feel it is out shined by the Note 4 in all the categories that count.
