At some point, resolution will become irrelevant and I think 8k might be that.
Less than 1% of movies have been filmed in 8k, and none of them go through an 8K DI, hell most don't even go through a 4k DI. Also I think there are very few movies scanned in 8K, Baraka is the only one I know of, disk Space is not there and even less Internet bandwidth to stream 8K.
8K is still very far away from mass adoption.
