And again they do not listen the customers. what is so hard to implement a simple interface like win 7 for desktops? is like they are forcing people to this kind of design.

I agree that Desktop users should get a win 7 like interface option.

Regardless, Win 8 is just outright fabulous for touchscreen devices. Got a Lumia 1020 and Surface and dayum its just perfect. Not Android or iOS come close to Win 8.1 os.

I understand what they are trying to do by making all their devices use some form of the same OS and make it easy for developers and consumers to seamlessly transition from one to another but the DESKTOP VERSION should have the option.

People who like the metro Ui are a minority. Typical Microsoft trying to force consumers to use crappy products. Just waiting for the day when direct X or some new game can only play on windows 8 to force people to buy. Reminds me of halo 2 and vista.

While ever they refuse to acknowledge that the whole Metro UI is a ****show and their customers want the start MENU back it will stay that way.

I love windows 8. I updated to 8.1 and now with betters app on the store, I love the UI notifications. It boots up noticeably faster and this is from a person who has an SSD.

It's not that much different, in my opinion. Except for the fact that my wireless adapter will no longer work. I'm going to go back to Windows 7.

8.1 was a little better than 8.0. But give people who bought their software a second option. I don't like it. All my apps are on desktop mode, I have no need for metro. I have a search bar on the task bar.

Its like they are trying to reinvent the wheel. They should have just made a different OS for touch pads and be done with it.
